Duchesse de Brabant is an old tea rose best presented with climate caveats. It can be excellent in warm rose climates but should not be recommended blindly for severe winters.

Growing notes

Warm and mild regions are the default audience. In cold regions, ask for local proof before planting in an exposed site. In humid areas, provide sun, spacing, and soil drainage.

What to photograph

• Whole plant from several feet away, including support or container.
• A fresh bloom and an older bloom.
• Leaf upper and lower surfaces.
